Since I have not heard from people concerning my previous post on possible dates to backpack, I am going to unilaterally set dates and post the meetups by Mar 6.
June 24-30: Snowy Range Wilderness, WY. (Contingent on ice out.) Aug 5-10: Mt Rawah Wilderness, CO. Aug 19-24: Mt Zirkel Wilderness, CO. If ice out has not occurred in Snowy Range, I have other wilderness options and we should be able to find one that is passable. Because the above listed trips are in wilderness, there are no fees, reservations needed and the dispersed camping locations are at our discretion. Because reservations are not required, there will be some flexibility on dates, contingent on my personal calendar. Also, each of the above trips starts on a Friday. Therefore, the trips have the flexibility to be done over the weekend for those that do not have the time for the full six days in the wilderness. Remember, you may be packing out alone if there are no others doing weekend dates. Sept 9-15: RMNP. Once scheduled, the dates for this trip have very little flexibility. All trips will be planned to have access to flyfishing on lakes and/or streams at every campsite. Feedback is encouraged. William |

Bill,
I'm definitely in for one of the August or September trips...let me look at those sites and my schedule at work and I can be more specific. Thanks! Deb |

I would be interested in any of these trips but will have to request vacation days in June off earlier rather that later. To ensure I would be able to go.

Bill,
On your original post I noticed that you said " not for beginners ". On this post I don't see it. Which will it be? Just making sure that all who are interested and have replied are aware of this. If those of us with less or no experience don't fall within your guidelines then we could plan other trips for these people. After all, if you don't have experience then how do you get experience, right? |

Tim,
Thank you for bringing this to my attention. Yes, the trip is not for beginners. More specifically, anyone who has not backpacked before is, for the purposes of the trips I am planning, a beginner. Also, Brandon will be giving a course on backpacking, which will be invaluable for someone backpacking for the first time. These are the only trips I am planning and being involved with. If you want to plan other trips, go for it. William |

Bill, Deb, I will hold off on RMNP in Sept until I hear from you. I have a little wiggle room to help accommodate your schedule. I do not want to wait too long; a week or two at most, in order to get the camp sites I want. The trips in August are beginning to stress my personal schedule and I may reduce them in duration to 4 nights in the wilderness. William |

I am interested in the June 24-30: Snowy Range Wilderness, WY. (Contingent on ice out.) trip. Ronda, I am glad to hear you are interested. As reservations are not required, I can hold off scheduling the June meetup until closer to departure time. William |
