"This workshop will focus on the basic skills needed for safe and enjoyable river kayaking. We will teach efficient methods of paddling, maneuvering and dealing with current. Those wishing to take the river workshop must have taken a basic kayaking or sea kayaking workshop. When registering for this class, please specify what type of boat you would like to use for this workshop (single or double sea kayak, whitewater kayak, recreational kayak)."
Prereq. - must have taken the Basic Kayaking Course or Sea Kayaking Workshop at some point.
Sounds like a great way to build on the skills you've already acquired.

Signed up a few weeks ago through OVC. Glad I'll get to meet some NE Adventure Group folks there too!
As of 06.18.10 this event is full and no spots available. When you call the OVC you can ask to be placed on the waiting list.
For all you canoe enthusiasts out there keep this day open for the Great Waterloo Canoe Race. It gets about 100 boats out in 11 divisions each year and is a lot of fun.
