Okay here's one for the bikers out there.
Thursday Night Taco Ride @ the Wabash Trace in Council Bluffs, IA.

This is a great ride for bikers of any experience level.
It starts from the trail head in Council Bluffs, IA located close to Lewis Central Middle School where free parking is available. From the trail head to Mineola (end point) it is approximately 10 miles. Once in Mineloa you can find out why they call it the "Taco Ride" by heading to the Mineloa Steakhouse for there beer & taco specials. This is the most popular consistent bike ride around and has a couple hundred people in attendance.
There are plenty of stops along the way and there is no particular pace. We will gather in the Lewis Central Middle School in the back parking lot. We will leave around 6:25-6:35 so it's important you can try and make the 6:15 time so you have time to get your bike ready.
There is a $2.00 fee for trail use that is a standard. Also, it is important that you have a light as it is likely we will be riding back in the dark. From my experience 1 light will guide up to 3 or 4. I have a light but I always recommend people bring there own.
Also, make sure you bring some sort of water bottle, Camelbak or something because staying hydrated is extremely important.
